11/29/2008 All 12 Members Chevrolet Community Service Team
Today, we are honoring all 12 members of the SEC Community Service Team, one player from each of the 12 schools. These team members contribute great deal of their free time to help others in the community. The focus for most is kids in elementary and middle schools, where they regularly speak about the importance of education and assist in various reading and mentoring programs. Chevrolet is proud to salute all members of the SEC's "Community Service Team."

11/22/2008 Reshard Langford Vanderbilt University
Today, we are honoring Reshard Langford, a senior safety from Vanderbilt University. Reshard has spend the last three summers serving as a mentor to inner-city kids in east Nashville. He is also a frequent speaker to students at local elementary schools and actively involved in campus FCA activities. Chevrolet is proud to salute Reshard Langford for being named a member of the SEC's "Community Service Team."

11/15/2008 Tim Bailey Mississippi State University
Today, we are honoring Tim Bailey, a senior defensive end from the Mississippi State University. Tim is an active member of the National Guard and was deployed in Iraq for 12 months 3 years ago. In addition to his military duties, Tim participates in reading programs at Starkville area elementary schools and is a volunteer for various food drives. Chevrolet is proud to salute Tim Bailey for being named a member of the SEC's "Community Service Team."

11/8/2008 Ali Sharrief University of Alabama
Today, we are honoring Ali Sharrief, a junior defensive back from the University of Alabama. Ali spends much of his free time with young students, mentoring a group of fourth graders at a local elementary school on a weekly basis and making a huge impact in their lives. Ali has also volunteered at the area animal shelter and for project angel tree, helping to buy Christmas presents for kids with an incarcerated parent. Chevrolet is proud to salute Kirston Pittman for being named a member of the SEC's "Community Service Team."

11/1/2008 Kirston Pittman Louisiana State University
Today, we are honoring Kirston Pittman, a senior defensive end from Louisiana State University. Kirston is a frequent speaker at a local elementary and junior high schools with a motivational message about doing well in school and staying away from drugs. He also spends time visiting children in Baton Rouge area hospitals and is an annual participant in LSU's Christmas Toy Drive for less fortunate kids. Chevrolet is proud to salute Kirston Pittman for being named a member of the SEC's "Community Service Team."

10/25/2008 David Jones University of Kentucky
Today, we are honoring David Jones, a senior cornerback from the University of Kentucky. David has been very active in the "Cats That Care" Service Program during his Wildcat career. He worked over 270 hours for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass this past summer. He is also a volunteer at a Veteran's Hospital, reading to and aiding the patients there. Chevrolet is proud to salute David Jones for being named a member of the SEC's "Community Service Team."

10/18/2008 Mohamed Massaquoi University of Georgia
Today, we are honoring Mohamed Massaquoi, a senior wide receiver from the University of Georgia. Mohamed is a volunteer with the Hero Program in Atlanta, working to improve the quality of life for kids infected with and affected by the HIV virus. He also is a reader and mentor at several elementary schools in the Athens/Clarke County School District. Chevrolet is proud to salute Mohamed Massaquoi for being named a member of the SEC's "Community Service Team."

10/11/2008 Eric Norwood University of South Carolina
Today, we are honoring Eric Norwood, a junior linebacker from the University of South Carolina. Eric is a mentor at Columbia area schools, helping kids with reading and their studies. He also is a volunteer at a local event for children facing cancer and a speaker at Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Chevrolet is proud to salute Eric Norwood for being named a member of the SEC's "Community Service Team."

9/27/2008 David Traxler University of Mississippi
Today, we are honoring David Traxler, a senior tight end from the University of Mississippi. David is a member of the "Reading with the Rebels"" Program, going into Oxford area elementary schools to read to the students. He also is a frequent visitor to area nursing homes as well as the North Mississippi Regional Hospital. Chevrolet is proud to salute David Traxter for being named a member of the SEC's "Community Service Team."

9/20/2008 Jose Valdez University of Arkansas
Today, we are honoring Jose Valdez, a senior offensive tackle from the University of Arkansas. Jose is very involved with kids, participating in reading programs at multiple elementary schools in the Fayetteville area and visiting a school for disabled children. He has also made visits to an area's vetrans' home and assisted living center. Chevrolet is proud to salute Jose Valdez for being named a member of the SEC's "Community Service Team."

9/13/2008 Josh Briscoe University of Tennessee
Today, we are honoring Josh Briscoe, a senior wide receiver from the University of Tennessee. The President of UT's Student Athlete Advisory Committee, Josh has accumulated more than 100 community service hours while in Knoxville. He is a mentor and motivator to students at many area elementary schools, visits patients at the local children's hospital, and is a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Chevrolet is proud to salute Josh Briscoe for being named a member of the SEC's "Community Service Team."

9/6/2008 Jerraud Powers Auburn University
Today, we are honoring Jerraud Powers, a junior defensive back from Auburn University. Jerraud is a featured speaker at schools and youth organizations in the Auburn aread. He also has participated in shopping sprees for underpriviledged children. Chevrolet is proud to salute Jerraud Powers for being named a member of the SEC's "Community Service Team."

8/30/2008 Entire Football Team University of Florida
Today, we are honoring the entire University of Florida football team. This summer, the team held their inaugural Gator Charity Challenge in front of over 1,800 fans at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The Gators squared off in strength competitions, but six charities selected by the football program were the real beneficiaries of their efforts. Chevrolet is proad to salute all members of the Florida football team for being part of the SEC's "Community Service Team."
