Extends Long-Term Relationship Through 2023
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Raycom Sports, through a new sublicense arrangement with ESPN, continues its long-standing position as the syndication home of Atlantic Coast Conference content for over-the-air and regional cable network distribution. The new long-term deal is unprecedented for Raycom and the ACC in terms of length, at 12 years.

Production Staff Earns Five Telly Awards Overall
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Raycom Sports was selected for five Telly Awards, including four prestigious Silver Telly Awards, it was announced by the Silver Telly Council.
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest film and video productions, and groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. The Telly Award winners are selected by top industry professionals that are past winners of a Silver Telly, the highest honor. The Telly Awards received over 11,000 entries this year.

Platinum Selling Group’s Song “The Good Life” Will Open Raycom Basketball Tournament Telecasts
Charlotte, N.C. – Platinum recording group Three Days Grace will open each Raycom Sports telecast of the 2010 ACC basketball tournament. Three Days Grace’s single “The Good Life” will be featured in the opening video montage to lead into each game.
Three Days Grace recently released their third album, Life Starts Now, which features the single “The Good Life.” Their first two albums, Three Days Grace and One-X, are certified platinum on both the U.S. and Canada.

Football Saturdays in the South Garners Second Straight Emmy
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Raycom Sports won four Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards this past weekend, awarded by the Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in a ceremony in Nashville. Raycom was nominated in five categories overall.

Total of 41 Games on Broadcast Schedule
Charlotte, N.C. – Raycom Sports’ coverage of the 2009 Atlantic Coast Conference basketball season begins this weekend with a pair of games on Saturday, January 9. At noon, Virginia will travel to NC State and at 4:00 p.m. Clemson will host Boston College.
